Paul Robertson does the Scott Pilgrim

I admit it. Until the Scott Pilgrim Movie was announced I've never head of the comic books. And to further admit it, I didn't care about them then as well.

That was until I saw the first trailer to the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. The World : The Game Trailer from E3, wich looked strangely familiar..

A genius storyline (defeat all seven ex-boyfriends of your new soulmate) paired with a catchy gameplay (fight anything that moves) in awesome retro graphics. The design of the characters isn't far from the original comicbook but they look much more like the work of the most genius pixel artist under the sun.

That is because they are! Paul Robertson is the name. First seen with his work Pirate Baby Cabana Battle i've been wishing for a fighting game with his designs the whole time... featuring colour. Black-and-White might look artsy (like Limbo for XBLA) but I prefer my games dumb and straightforward.

The game will be out on August 10th on Playstation Network and on August 25th for Xbox Live Arcade for about 15 Bucks. Kind of a dilemma since I prefer the Xbox but I don't want to wait. Who, like me, can't stand waiting might like spending the time with the newest Comic-Con trailer or order the comics.

Ordering the comics is what I'll do now! ^_~ - DS_Nadine
